An Animal Lover with a Personal Touch

My name is Trevor Lord, and I’m the proud owner of Novacraft Pet Transport LLC. The journey that led me to create this business is deeply personal, shaped by profound loss, love, and a desire to honor the memory of those who meant the most to me.

In February 2023, my mom passed away from pancreatic cancer. She had an unwavering love for dogs and animals, and our home was always filled with the presence of various pets, including mutts and English Bulldogs. Her passing left a hole in my heart, but it also reminded me of the joy and comfort animals bring into our lives.

After my mom’s passing, my dad began driving more often, telling me that he felt a deep connection to my mom when he was on the road. He longed to take a road trip across the country, feeling that the open road would help him stay connected to her. Unfortunately, this journey never came to be, as my dad passed away just five months later, in July 2023.

In the midst of this immense loss, I found solace in a new companion — Nova, my emotional support dog. Nova helped bring joy back into my life when it felt as though the light had dimmed. She gave me the comfort and companionship I needed during a very difficult time, and it was through this bond that the idea for Novacraft Pet Transport was born.

The road trips I shared with Nova were not just about traveling from place to place; they became a way to heal, to remember my parents, and to feel connected to them in a way that words couldn’t express. That connection to the road, to animals, and to the memories of my parents is what drives me to offer this service. Novacraft Pet Transport is my way of honoring their memory by providing pets with the care, comfort, and companionship they deserve during their journey, just as Nova did for me.

I have a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Roosevelt University, and I spent 5 years as a Data Specialist at JP Morgan Chase while living in Chicago, IL. My background in business and logistics has equipped me with the skills to run a smooth and efficient operation, but my true passion lies in caring for animals and making their journeys as comfortable as possible.

Home base is in Glastonbury, Connecticut, but I’m about to hit the road full-time, traveling wherever the next customer’s pet needs to go. I’m committed to providing the best service and ensuring every pet’s journey is safe, comfortable, and full of care.
